At Labin, for more than 75 years we have been committed to an agriculture that not only responds to the challenges of today, but also anticipates the challenges of tomorrow. Our commitment to research, development and innovation (R&D&I) is not an option, it is a way of understanding the future of the countryside: more sustainable, more efficient and more humane.
We know that innovation is not just about launching new products; it is about rethinking processes, reducing environmental impact and listening to the planet. That is why our R&D&I department works hand in hand with universities, technology centers and the agricultural sector itself to develop solutions that promote a regenerative, resilient agriculture that is aligned with new regulatory requirements.
Every project born at Labin seeks to optimize the use of resources, improve soil health and increase crop yields without compromising the natural balance. Because for us, true innovation is that which helps nature to continue doing its thing.
In Labin we are committed to innovation with facts. That is why CDTI (Center for Technological Development and Innovation) has awarded us two projects in the last 4 years, one in 2020 and another in 2024 (currently in progress). This represents a key achievement in our trajectory.
These awards represent high-level technical validation, as the CDTI only supports projects with a strong innovation component and a real impact on the technological transformation of the sector. Their support allows us to move forward steadily in the development of more sustainable, efficient and visionary agricultural solutions.
As a result of the work carried out within the framework of these projects, the Ministry of Science and Innovationhas awarded usthe Innovative SME seal, an official distinction reserved for companies with a clear and proven research and development activity.
This recognition not only endorses our commitment to innovation, but also positions us as a benchmark company on the road to a more regenerative, digital and planet-friendly agriculture.
Labin collaborates in the Projecte Grup Operatiu DIGEVA, an initiative that is committed to innovation in the management of digestate, one of the main challenges of the agro-livestock sector.
Labin is also part of the LivingLab of Catalonia within the framework of the European DELISOIL project. The project seeks to promote a more sustainable and resilient agriculture through the use of biostimulants and beneficial microorganisms for the soil, and thanks to the synergies between research centers, companies in the sector and representatives of the administration.
