LABIN Code of Ethics
The purpose of this Code of Ethics and Conduct is to set forth the basic guidelines, general principles and acceptable conduct that should govern and be applied in all actions of the members of the Spanish Agricultural nutrients Manufacturers Association (AEFA or the Association).
This Code and the documents to which it refers are intended to be the cornerstone of AEFA’s compliance culture through which it is intended to guide the actions of all its members in the performance of their duties and in their business and professional relationships.
This Code represents a fundamental element of the “Regulatory Compliance System” implemented in the Association and reflects the company’s commitment to the principles of business ethics and transparency in all its areas of activity.
This Code of Ethics identifies the values and ethical principles that we, the member companies of AEFA, consider should inspire and guide our attitude and actions in the development of our business activity, both at an individual and sectorial level.
These shared values and ethical principles translate into our firm commitment to respect and best practices in relation to the following aspects:
Environment
- Development of our activity with respect for the environment, with the aim of minimizing the environmental impact and risks that may be associated with our production processes and products.
- Rational use of natural resources and raw materials, sustainable and responsible waste management and commitment to the circular economy model.
Regulatory compliance
- Acting in accordance with current legislation in all areas of law that affect our activity and establishing and rigorously applying procedures to control regulatory compliance.
Territorial and social sensitivity
- Focusing our efforts to promote economic development, fostering and retaining talent and working as socially responsible companies.
Training
- To train and inform our human team continuously in the necessary aspects for their correct professional and personal development and to facilitate access to training for other groups outside the company.
- Close collaboration with educational centers to facilitate internships for their students in our companies.
Security
- Promoting and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment and promoting wellness.
- Ensure strict compliance with the occupational risk prevention policy and safety and emergency protocols, controlling the application of the best techniques available for our sector.
- Close collaboration with emergency services and public administration to ensure the safety of the company and the general public.
Quality. Innovation, research and development
- Implementation and maintenance of quality certifications to establish management systems in companies that guarantee the quality of products or services.
- Commitment to innovation, research and development of new, more sustainable products adapted to the new technologies of a constantly evolving market.
